Greetings and welcome to the home of the ROBOT LORDS, a project that represents the culmination of a 10-year musical partnership between Rick Ritzler and Paul Jones. After several CDs and hundreds of gigs in a previous band covering much musical territory, the two returned to their roots, abandoned the traditional "band" concept, and the ROBOT LORDS OF TOKYO were born.
Their self-titled first album was a surprise critical success, and is currently available at CDBaby.com. The follow-up sophomore effort, "Whiskey, Blood & Napalm", was released in late 2008, and promises to destroy the debut, with more king-sized riffs, shredtastic solos, power vocals and greasy groove metal than you can shake a stick at. Once again the special guests are a virtual who's who of great Midwestern rock and metal musicians, including Joe Viers (Snowblynd), Beau Van Bibber (Deflagration), Steve Theado (American Dog), Rob Johnson (Magnitude 9/Solo), Steve Pollick (ex-Icarus Witch/Order of Nine), and instrumental guitar great Neil Zaza, among others.
